Instructions for Completing Online Evaluations
College Level Courses - Updated Fall 2007

Last Date of Attendance: If this student has obviously stopped attending class (whether you think they've dropped or not) enter the last date of attendance in the form box and click on the submit button. When submitting final grades for your class, you must also give these students a grade in VSC Web Services.

Evaluation Builder: CCV evaluations are divided into three parts; the narrative, the academic competencies and the essential objectives. You can fill out each part in any order that makes sense to you. Follow the instructions for each section. As the sections are completed the link to them will change color.

At Mid-Semester: You are requested to complete the narrative at mid-semester. The other two sections are optional. Please include any recommendations or mid-term grades in the narrative. After you complete the evaluation for each student make the evaluation viewable to the student by clicking on the button next to the student's name or by checking the box on the recommendations/grades screen. When an evaluation is viewable there will be a green check mark next to the student's name. Student's will be able to access their mid-semester evaluations in the VSC portal module titled CCV - Student Tools on their CCV Student tab. They are required to login.

Final Evaluations: When you return to complete final evaluations (assuming you did them at mid-semester) you may want to turn all the evaluations off for viewing by the student. This will allow you to complete them in stages. If you did not complete mid-semester evaluations they will be turned off for viewing by default. To complete final evaluations edit/overwrite all three sections with your end-of-semester information. You are no longer required to date the evaluation. This is now done automatically. Turn the evaluations back on for viewing, for each student, when you are done.

Final Grades: These are entered within VSC Web Services. VSC Web Services grading can be accessed by clicking on Main Menu link in the VSC Web Services module on your Blackboard login page. This link will open a new window, click on the Faculty menu and then on the Grading link. You must give every student listed a final grade. See the Help menu if you have any questions.

On a PC close this window by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner. On a Mac use the close box in the upper left corner.
