ANT-1010 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
3 Credits
This course is a survey of basic issues, concepts, theories, and methods of cultural anthropology. Students think critically about the nature of culture and society from the perspective of the past and the present. Topics include social and political organization, gender, myth and religion, language, adaptation, and cultural change.

ANT-2020 - Language, Culture & Communication
3 Credits
An introduction to the study of linguistics and communication in cultures and societies worldwide. Topics include language origins, change, and acquisition; language structure and speech behavior; sociolinguistics; the relationship between language and thought; and analysis of conversation and meaning.
